Stupid shape and pointless apps let it down This does what it says on the tin. I was disappointing that even though it can play divx and it has a network input, it doesn’t have even a simple network play option (not that it says it does but how much better would it be it it did)! Also you only have the apps which come installed, I don’t have netflix and I don’t want to access facebook via my bluray so whats the point? At least allow you to choose from other apps like lovefilm, iplayer, 4od etc.. ones that will actually be useful.Putting these things aside the player itself is a stupid size, what was wrong with making things a universal size like they used to be, my amp, sky box, xbox and now this (its about the same size as a shoebox, just not as high) are really difficult to stack, it looks like a pyramid which could topple at any moment. The playback is OK but as others have said I have seen juddering on playback of 3D (not tried 2D). If I used it a lot I wouldn’t be very happy.Come on…

Not a bad little bluray player !! if you buy one of these …. two things you need to do before it arrives — make sure you have a HDMI cable (not supplied but available from amazon) and make sure you have an ethernet cable if you want to plug it into your internet thingummy. I chose to buy one i could plug into the internet box wotsit (modem, router or whatever it’s called?!) because the ones that say ‘WIFI ready on them actually require you to go and buy a dongle to use them, and even then, they are sllllllooowwwwww !! So, i chose thid instead of the wifi ready version, and I’m glad I did ! I found it easy to set up….few hiccups because i had 3 HDMI ports on my TV and the third one i tried was the only one that didn’t make the screen flicker. Then I had to ring my internet provider because the internet wouldnt connect, but , that was sorted pretty quickly. I love this bluray player. It makes my old DVD’s play better and I’ve loved being able to use netflix and YouTube on it !! I am NEVER stuck for anything to…

Works great with my Samsung 65″ tv Auto detection of settings for the Samsung tv did not work very well (grainy picture) but a short play with settings fixed it. Now gives a great picture on a huge scale at a very low price.
