Superb One of the best purchases I’ve made in the last few years. Was a little unsure whether 700 lumen would be bright enough, but so long as the room is fairly dark it’s great and with the lights all off the projector is stunning. Extremely bright, crystal clear when watching movies and silky smooth. I’ve got this projecting on a 100″ white painted wall (7.5 foot across) with black velvet round the edges for contrast and it truly is brilliant. You could buy one of the Optoma 720p projectors for a bit less up front but you will then need to spend £100 a year on a new new bulb if you use it anything other than occasionally, so it soon adds up. This projector is LED so the bulb doesn’t go and at 30,000 hrs that’s a lot of movies/games/tv viewing. It powers on in seconds and turns off instantly (a normal projector takes a while to warm up and cool down) you can also turn it on for five minutes and off again without worrying about damaging the bulb and being LED the bulb…

The picture from this projector is brilliant. I was using the LG HS201g for a couple of years before this and there is no comparison. The resolution is good enough to finally read internet pages clearly and word documents. The picture is very similar to a high quality LCD tv. The brightness is probably slightly less than that of a 42″ tv, but you get a 100″ picture for about a quarter of the power consumption of a 42″ tv.The only bad point is that this is an american model according to LG UK. This projector has something called plug and play which means that when a laptop or desktop is plugged directly into the projector via HDMI, the projector recognises it. Unfortunatly, I wanted to hook up my projector through a sony receiver first which apparently is not compatible with this plug and play option. I was told that there is PAL HDMI and NTSC HDMI. I was about four day calling LG regarding the projector, sony regarding the reciever and samsung regarding the…
