Excellent TV For Smaller Rooms I have had this TV from Sony for a few days now and will try to evaluate what it can and cannot do. The bottom line is this is an excellent TV for small rooms. Although at typical viewing distances those who need glasses should use them! (My better half couldn’t read the guide in bed with the TV 9 or 10 feet away). The setup. This is rapid, when you first power up the set asks for 40 seconds to initialise, than asks for a geographical location. As long as you have an aeriel plugged in the following bit (scanning for TV & radio programs) takes a few minutes. I found 119 channels using a tiny indoor antenna, in just a few minutes. The internet setup failed twice over wifi, worked when I plugged an ethernet cable in, then when I reset it to wifi was absolutely fine! I’d be interested to hear if anyone else had issues there. The TVThe set is “HD READY” but it is not 1080P. The description states that the number of horizontal lines is 768, some…

Excellent apart from speakers I’ve been looking for a TV for a while now and have seen hundreds of reviews so will keep this one to the point with the things I would have liked to know…. this TV has everything I was looking for except a built in DVD player. Haven’t used all the features yet though. This review is based on the white version of the TV. Why it costs more I don’t know (if you can find one) but it looks good on the wall and blends in so I’m happy with the colour. Still has a black power lead and black plug though, and a black remote (WHY!!!!).The setup is straightforward and it connected to my wireless network first time. Within 10 minutes of plugging it in I was watching iPlayer in great quality with no pausing through the wireless network.Random observations…..The TV is very thin but goes wider at the bottom to accomodate bottom firing speakers, this bit actually goes lower than the TV surround so you can see it below the TV. A waste of space really…
